Community activism

The Qultura community is maintained and developed by members of the Qultura community who move into Qultura Core to become community volunteers and activists. Therefore the Qultura community is designed to be self-identifying, self-regulating and self-perpetuating through a universal system of community volunteering. There is no hierarchy, no set or pre-determined roles, no volunteer recruitment or application process, and no separateness between any members of the community. Community volunteering and activism is considered to be the most direct and most effective form of dream weaving practice.

Okay so as we come to this part of the Qultura website which is essentially about Qultura Core and community volunteering and activism we need to get to the core essential of what Qultura is really all about. The whole point of Qultura is to make developing a meta-physic and a deeper, more existential dimension to life simpler, easier and more accessible to you and everyone else who feels the need for one.

Particularly when it comes to Qultura Core and community volunteering and activism, this is not about being a good person, or worthy. This is not freemasonry. It's not only about being real, about learning to walk your walk, talk your talk, about developing integrity and living your individual truth. If you're going to develop that existential, deeper dimension to your life through community volunteering and activism then you're going to need to get into aesthetics, develop style and taste because it's not just on your personal integrity that other people are going to judge you on, it's also on your style and manner of being.

Community volunteering and activism through Qultura Core is not about just doing something to stick on your CV or resume to get a job. If this is your main motivation for volunteering then go find a registered charity or work in a charity shop. You come into Qultura Core to seek to belong to something bigger than you, something which gives your life experience meaning and a certain value. We cannot tell you what this is. You have to figure that out for yourself. But what community volunteering and activism through Qultura Core comes down to boils down to three things:

  • Doing things which you enjoy doing and find that meaning and value which enhances your life experience.
  • Doing things which you are competent and good at doing which other people consistently appreciate you doing for them.
  • Doing things which you are willing to do for other people. Consider much of what community volunteering and activism comes down to is willingness to interact with other people.

An opportunity to develop your Principle & Process

Primarily community volunteering and activism through Qultura Core is an opportunity for you to say things you've never said before, to experience things you've never experienced before and to do things you perhaps have never done before. Through Qultura Core you get the opportunity to push the envelope when it comes to language, consciousness, creativity and human relationships through involvement in the community on a deeper level. The whole point is to focus on what is known as the felt presence of direct experience.

What this means is that instead of consuming culture and accepting a lifestyle where you allow other people in authority to control your mind and thinking, you make a bit of effort and take steps to create new culture in the community.

Stop watching television. Stop following people on the internet and social media. Stop following other people's ideologies and belief systems. Stop doing things you're told to do. Instead create your own culture, find your own people, put forward your own ideas and start doing your own thing. This nexus of time and space where you are now - this is the most immediate part of your universe. If you're worrying about celebrities, and fashion, and politicians, and Brexit, and trying to find a job or fit in then you are dis-empowered. You're giving it all away to control icons - control icons which are maintained by an electronic media so that you want to be like X, or dress like Y, or aspire to be like Z. This is all mindless and foolishness. This is all cultural diversion.

Community volunteering and activism is designed to be an opportunity and a means to shifting your focus onto what is real in your life - what is real is you, and your friends, your community, your people, your associations, your highs, your lows, your hopes, your plans, your ideas, and your experiences.

You see we are constantly being told "No.", that we're unimportant, we're disposable, we can be replaced. Get an education. Get a job. Get this. Get that. Then you become a player in society, the Good Model Citizen seemingly deserving of Widespread Social Respectability. But you might notice that once you jump through all these hoops 'playing the game' isn't even worth the effort.

Universal community volunteering & activism

Please do not expect traditional community volunteering roles as these have been done away with. All too often traditional volunteering resembles and amounts to unpaid work and there is plenty of opportunity for exploitation. Instead there is a universal system in place where any community member can move into and out of Qultura Core, propose a community volunteering or activist role based on how they want to develop the community and there is no limit to the potential volunteering or activist roles which can be created by community members. All we ask is that you stick to the broad definitions of volunteering and activism set out by Qultura Core.

However we do need community activists who can help raise awareness and understanding of Qultura and what Qultura is about among people in the wider local community and also help develop relationships with organizations and local authorities either for support or some kind of symbiotic relationship (similar to that what we have with Wandsworth Council). To give you some examples of what we need:

Networking
We need community activists who can organize presentations and talks about Qultura and the Qultura community among other community organizations such as local residents associations, community groups and so on.
The Human Library Project

We need community activists who can help develop our Human Library Project and help us curate people willing to become Human Books at Human Library events and do some initial befriending.

This may require attending events and meetings organized elsewhere by other organizations and groups.

Social media
We need activists who are familiar with social media platforms who can help develop a social media presence and 'entry groups' on social media platforms.
Flyposting
We also need community activists who can 'flypost' our brightly coloured posters to raise awareness of meetings or events in accessible places (materials provided).

What we're not looking for.... This is the important part when it comes to Qultura activism... We are not looking for any promotion, active 'in your face' campaigning or anything similar. We're not looking for anyone to 'push' Qultura. Keeping in mind our community standards and general strategy of 'finding the others' using stealth, infiltration and subversion, Qultura activism is a great deal more subtle than other forms of activism.

This is not for any nefarious reasons. You see if you 'push' Qultura in any way, you turn Qultura into an ideology, and Qultura is not an ideology. What we're looking for instead is for you to 'plant seeds', present the opportunity, and leave the choice whether to get involved in our community or not down to the individual. Please keep in mind the decision whether to develop a meta-physic or conscious awareness or not needs to be always an individual, internal choice made by the individual. (Telling anyone that they lack conscious awareness or implying such is incredibly offensive and insulting). Qultura activism is only ever about getting the word out there and presenting the opportunity. We leave the converting and the lovebombing to religions.

It is enough that you are registered as a member of the Qultura community on our Community Message Board and are familiar with 'Moving into Core'. If you want to find out more details these can be found on the Qultura Core website.
