Moving into Core

Moving into Core essentially is all about transitioning from the wider Qultura community into Qultura Core to undertake some form of community volunteering or activism. Community volunteering and activism is considered to be a deeper form of dream weaving practice and activity and is undertaken in order to change or transform one's individual state of consciousness and conscious awareness through developing one's individual relationship with the environment and wider community.

In order to understand what moving into Core is really all about, we need to take into consideration what we have been conditioned to believe volunteering and activism to be. For many people volunteering is a form of unpaid work, usually associated with a cause, which is based on a desire to change something in society or indeed to change something in yourself. Often you get a volunteering role or opportunity offered by some organization pretty much the same as a paid employment opportunity. You get a job description. There is volunteer recruitment. You apply for the volunteering position. You have a superior of some sort, a volunteer coordinator telling you what to do, what hours you need to be available, and so on. The only difference from a paid job is that you're not getting paid.

Similarly activism in many cases is also associated with a cause and is often based on a desire to change society or bring about some change within yourself.

If you believe that you can change either yourself or your community, or society, then you're buying into the illusion of free will and you are dis-empowering yourself. There is no such thing as free will. Society is what it is. The community is what it is. You are who you are. This brings us right back to one of the basic premises of Qultura - the environment creates, the individual grows. The only real freedom you have is whether or not you connect to your environment and other people (your social environment). The only freedom of choice you have is whether you choose to do everything more consciously or ignorantly.

Everything else is karma - memory, choice, action, consequence. There is no separateness between the Qultura community and Qultura Core. Qultura Core is simply the core of the Qultura community. This is no different from the fact that there is no separateness between you and your environment or between you and other people in community. Everything is interconnected and interdependent on everything else. It is for this reason we have developed a universal system of community volunteering and activism. There are no fixed or predetermined volunteering roles or positions. There is no volunteering recruitment or application process. Qultura Core is not an organization. It is still the Qultura community. Therefore all community volunteering and activism is about developing the Qultura community and making it freely accessible to more people in the wider community.

Developing flow, cohesion and mindfulness

Essentially all community volunteering and activism through Qultura Core and our universal volunteering system is simply dream weaving activity and practice on another level. It's not for anyone involved with Qultura Core to tell you what to do and how to do it. We are not you. We do not live your life. We do not experience your reality the same way you do. It's up to you to figure all this out for yourself. It's you who has been born into a life with a certain karma and special factors to work out. It's up to you to figure out the meaning and value of your own life experience and figure out your own meta-physic and existential dimension to life.

Please also keep in mind that all volunteering and activism is essentially a short term activity which enables you to meet people in a community, get to know them, undertake certain activities and through such community involvement and activities learn more about yourself and your life. All such volunteering and activism is based on altruism and willingness, because you're not getting paid for what you do, nor are you necessarily getting any material benefit. So therefore you come into Qultura Core and engage in community volunteering and activism primarily for the direct experiences it gives you, the insight, and what you can learn about life from other people. This is how in many ways community volunteering and activism is just dream weaving on a different level in the community.

Therefore what we recommend is that you approach any community volunteering or activism through Qultura Core as a process of individuation and personal development - a process of exploration, experimentation, learning and discovery - about yourself relative to other people in community. We give you enough relative freedom to be able to try out and take on different roles, either as a community volunteer or an activist. You can change whatever role you're doing through simple interaction on the Community Message Board. You can create your own roles, switch roles, mix and match different roles, and come and go as you please. As long as you are participating in the wider process of community development, and you are communicating through the Community Message Board what you want to do and also creating opportunities for others to do stuff with you, it's all good.

We also understand that you already have a life outside the Qultura community. You probably have work, you have a family, you have friends, you have other things going on in your life and may not always be able to commit time or energy to a community volunteering or activist role. Consider that having to commit to one specific volunteering or activist role - as you would in a traditional volunteering situation - can sometimes turn into a chore or a burden, and then you have the anxiety from the possibility of letting other people down if you're not fulfilling your volunteering or activist role. But see, this is a community and not an organization, and there is nothing really which demands that you make such a consistent and long term commitment. Keep in mind that all community volunteering in our community should be fun, enjoyable and rewarding. If you yourself are not getting any benefit out of your volunteering or activism, then why bother doing it in the first place?

Everything starts from the Community Message Board

The way the Qultura Core universal volunteering system is designed to work is simple - assuming that you are already registered beforehand on our Community Message Board as a member of the Qultura community:

  • Login to the Community Message Board with your username and password.
  • Look for the Qultura Core community category on the Community Message Board.
  • Find out what is going on by checking the threads and posts in this category. Here you need to look for volunteering and activist needs which have been posted.
  • Decide how you want to get involved, what role you want to take on or what you want to do in response to posted needs, make contact with whoever posted the volunteering and activist needs, and come to some arrangement with them.

In this way you help to keep the universal volunteering system completely self-identifying, self-regulating and self-perpetuating for others in the community.

You can find more detailed information about community volunteering and activism, as well as a walkthrough on moving into Core, on the Qultura Core website.
